Preamble

The Chairman of the Horde is recruiting for fun, mature players who are interested in joining a social raiding guild on Aman'Thul. We have a great, grown up, guild atmosphere and our recruitment is pretty selective to keep things that way. We are currently progressing in Serpentshrine Cavern and will be starting Tempest Keep shortly.

Please take a read of our guild charter below. It sets out what we are, as well as what we're not, and I hope it assists potential members in understanding our goals and culture as a guild. If these sound appealing to you then we'd like to hear from you in-game.

We are mature

We have a great bunch of members who are friendly, respectful, helpful and who enjoy playing together. Our recruitment is selective and based on maturity and personality before other issues like class, spec or gear. There is no leet speak in our guild chat or kids calling each other faghzor n00bs. Almost all of our members are over 20 and a number have families. We understand that people have commitments in real life and we don’t expect our members to be on all the time, grinding and raiding every waking hour.

We plan to experience end-game content in a social way

It's important to us that our members are having fun when they're online, whether that's questing, instancing, in battle-grounds or just goofing around. Getting good loot and experiencing new content together is an important part of having fun and making the most out of the game. We do expect our players to be interested in learning their class and to play to the best of their abilities so that we can achieve things together as a guild. At the end of the day though, when you log off WoW your epic gear and cool toys mean little compared to your experiences and friendships that you have online. People come first, loot second. The game should never feel like a chore or a second job and that applies to raiding as well. We are not a hardcore guild that will min-max our raid composition, dictate your talent spec or give you a list of items to farm each week. We don't recruit just to fill out raid slots, and we don't treat our members as numbers and fillers in an epic-churning machine.

We are a PVE focused guild

Although many of our members PVP it is not one of our guild ambitions to dominate PVP or acquire epic PVP sets. Of course, we have no problem with our players pvping as much as they like and we plan to put together some arena teams for the Burning Crusade, but we are primarily a PVE focused guild. If your main ambitions are related to PVP you may find another guild suits your needs better.

We are not a levelling or twinking service

The guild exists to help its members, but not to play the game for them. The higher level members of the guild have their own things to do and they aren't an on-demand service to run people through quests or instances. That doesn't mean that if you're stuck with something that you won't be able to get any assistance or that the higher characters refuse to ever set foot in a lower level instance again. Generally though we encourage our members to quest and instance with others of a similar level and to treat help as a favour, not a right.
